|| The Parachute Waterfront Pavilion is conceived around a serpentine ramp that emerges from the Coney Island boardwalk and transforms the geometry of a roller coaster into a spatial knot. Materiality of the overall system is treated as a cacophony of found objects reassembled into an effect of fluid extension to the Parachute Jump, enabling the augmented experience of former Parachutes’ vertigo. It is a folly; fun-house interruption to a boardwalk stroll. For more details visit the current Epiphyte Lab PRACTICE LINK. ||
