|| The scope of this project was to create a more tranquil spatial atmosphere and a new identity for a small bar located in Long Island City, New York. The custom designed and fabricated wall sconce is embedded into the wall surface to create an intimate glowing focal point and thus transforms a more transitory area of the bar into a series of engaging spatial clusters. The wall surface is altered into a large scale undulating lighting device. The wall sconce is a plaster pre-cast piece seamlessly integrated into the standard gyp-board wall. ||
