|| PROJECT TYPE | RESIDENTIAL RENOVATION ||
|| LOCATION | BROOKLYN, NEW YORK ||
|| PHASE | BUILT, COMPLETED in 2002 ||
|| SIZE | 1,200 SQF ||

|| To enable the design of an extremely compact yet versatile 1200 sf single family home, the original structure of this townhouse in the Williamsburg area of New York City was stripped to its exterior shell. A new floor plate has been inserted into the open volume supported by a new steel frame system, thus enabling the reorganization of the space and creation of an exterior courtyard and balcony. Primary programmatic nodes are designed as cabinetry, packed and constrained tightly within the geometry of the perimeter. ||
